RIP United States of America
July 1776 - November 2012.
In other breaking Aussie news, Clive Palmer has announced he made up the claims that the CIA are trying to destroy Australian coal business, because he wanted to take the heat off Campbell Newman, conservative leader in the QLD state election. Looks like Wayne Swan is right about the mining magnates and bring on the defamation cases against Clive Palmer.
And come on, let's get real. Fox News has no need to knock competitors out of the market when they already dominate the ratings in every prime time slot there is.
They probably do, the difference here is Samson, News Corp has illegal activity as a central pillar of its business model.
For American readers, the results were something like this; out of a total 85 seats up for grabs...
...the Liberal National Party (i.e. the conservatives) grabbed 78 (before the election they held 34)
...Labor (the left wing party that isn't always that much different from the conservatives anyway) grabbed 5. (before the election they held 51 and were in power)
...independents and other parties grabbed 4.
Even for the biggest swing state in Australia, its a wipe out of pretty incredible proportions.
As for Newt & Ron throwing in the towel already so the GOP doesn't need to host a brokered convention.. honestly, it's happened so few times in the past that I'm kind of looking forward to the prospect of having one this year, it'd at least make this presidential race more interesting than people all over the DC area going on about "ABO" (Anyone's Better than Obama).
In other news, I thought Samson might enjoy this set of articles I caught today about Obamacare: The Case for Losing Obamacare, Obamacare's Supreme Court Disaster, & Obama Lawyer Laughed at In Supreme Court. Feel free to draw your own conclusions, but it looks to me like the Supreme Court's not going to let this one happen. About time our judicial system did something that actually smells just for a change.
Well legally better atleast, but you Americans still would have been going crazy batshit about it either way
