An interesting event took place today. As I was doing my morning thing, there was a knock at the door. Upon answering it, I was greeted with two men in black suits. No, not the alien squad. Real live men in black though. One was Secret Service. The other was FBI. Apparently they wished to discuss a few things with me. Rather awkward, that, considering that the other folks living here with me ended up getting dragged into it. Why the sudden federal interest one might wonder? Seems they feel they had credible information that I represent a "threat to the president". I couldn't help but bust out laughing.

Apparently some "good Samaritan" overseas filed a report with the FBI about something the read here. I don't know precisely what, because our ever so friendly Gestapo agents would not tell me the exact nature of the "threat". It was only after telling them that they could discuss it with my attorney that they "allowed" me to know who filed the complaint. Again, I couldn't help but laugh when I heard the name. One Robert Powell, from Brisbane Australia. Yep. Those of you in the know shouldn't have much trouble with figuring out who that might be. Seems ol Fury just couldn't let it lie and grabbed something from right here in ye olde blog and twisted it up enough to convince someone they needed to come pay a visit.

Since they refused to tell me exactly what, I showed them the entire website. Most of what's here is dry and boring stuff they didn't care about. I noticed they seemed to take some interest in the "Iran Attacks Israel" post, though they only whispered to each other as they were reading it. They didn't seem amused by "Filet of California" either, or with the "Obama Maniacs" thread. Seems some over zealous idiot at SS (my, now there's a scary one) concluded that there was a subversive tone involved in all of these posts when considered together. Though again, the two agents refused to comment on it when I asked them why they seemed more interested in those posts over any of the others.

They appeared satisfied, but the SS agent (Oh no, I said it again!) asked a rather pointed question about whether or not I'd be willing to server "my president" in time of war. I'm not so sure he was amused by my answer, which was something like "If you mean Mr. Soetoro, then no. I can't see any reason to serve an illegal alien muslim usurper." Some serious note writing took place about that time. I wonder if I'm being added to watch lists or something. That might be fun to try and look up some day. I wonder if they're aware that they're serving and protecting a Kenyan national who was educated as a Muslim in Indonesia and never had US citizenship? Probably not, but if they are aware, they're traitors one and all. As I was demanding the agents leave, I overheard the SS guy say to the FBI guy "He's one of them." Uh huh. Ok.

So lets get something straight you Gestapo assholes. Mr. Powell is a nut case. He's not even a US citizen, much less anyone of any importance. He's an internet troll. You guys may have heard of these? If not, common sense alone should tell you not to take anything they say seriously. You should perhaps have had someone take the time to look into the things he's said here and elsewhere and realized he's a complete moron.

Further, no, I am not a secessionist. At least I wasn't until this afternoon. Filet of California never said anything about secession from the USA, only severing the liberal left coast off into its own little state. However I'm more convinced than ever after today's little chat that either those 45 counties should secede and form their own nation, or Texas should make good on their threats and secede immediately. Either way I won't need to worry about being on a no fly list or something because I can drive to Texas and I'm already in the "breakaway" section of California and would have no motivation to try and re-enter the USA at that point.

For anyone confused by the Mr. Soetoro answer, go look up "Barry Soetoro" some time and learn the truth about who currently occupies the president's office.

If by "One of Them" I'm a supporter of the US Constitution and a legitimate leader, then I'm guilty as charged. Or maybe "they" are simply folks who don't agree with the administration and are vocal opponents of them. You know, those crazy First Amendment types?

Well. I guess that's that then.

Someone tipped me off to this post, and at first I thought he was joking. I'm quite disappointed (yet somewhat elated) to find out that it was all true! I'm sorry to hear that some tooltard in Australia gets more credibility than an honest American blogging about things he likes and doesn't like. Roflcopter.

I wish I was joking, but I'm afraid not. Said tooltard has had a grudge against me for some time and is apparently still seeking new and interesting ways to try and piss me off. Well, this time it worked. But on the off chance it was just a couple of bogus yahoos, I checked into their claim at having come from the San Diego field offices. Sure enough, both the SS and FBI operate field offices in San Diego, in addition to Los Angeles as well as SS offices in Santa Ana and Riverside of all places. I didn't even pay that much attention to the card the FBI guy left me, but it turns out the logo on it matches that used by the counterterrorism unit, which is part of the National Security Branch formed in 2005.

So yeah, it's pretty damn sad when the US government takes a complaint from a complete unknown in another country and acts on it as though it were anything approaching a legitimate threat. Yes, I have some rather unorthodox political views. Or at least I thought they were unorthodox until I began looking into this stuff more deeply and realized a sizable portion of the country holds similar beliefs. I suppose I should have known as much considering the media bias that exists. People like me generate little if any coverage except when we get investigated by the Gestapo.

I'd be curious to know where you heard about my little corner of the internet since I don't tend to have a lot of regular visitors.

Why don't you actually post some supporting evidence, like the police reports that must accompany interviews of this nature. About the only person here who looks like they hold a grudge is you Samson. Baseless accusations against people really make you look immature and like you have something to hide. I am sure if Fury was allowed to post here, we would get to hear a totally different version of events. Although, I, for one, hope that he sues your ass over this pile of rubbish, i will shoot him an email now about it and give him the number of my lawer if he wants to take further action.

Yes, of course, because I should quake in fear at the random posting of some anonymous coward who doesn't even have the guts to identify themselves before making baseless threats. I think it would be highly entertaining to see how he handles being investigated for filing false reports with the FBI once the evidence of what he's done starts to come to light.

And you obviously have never been interviewed by the SS or the FBI before. Well, I have, and I can assure you there was no police report because the local cops weren't even told this was going on in their jurisdiction. The local police chief was rather pissed off about that little detail when I called to ask who the local liaison was on the case. Something the chief assures me is standard procedure when the feds investigate ANYTHING. They're supposed to get invited in. He's going to have a word with the field commander at the San Diego field office. Even if this was a "national security" issue they're supposed to be notified.

Even if I did have a copy of such a report I'm certainly not putting that up here on the internet to support my case. You can either believe it or not, but the retard you're defending isn't worthy of it. Or, should I say, you aren't worthy of being defended, Robert, you don't hide your anonymousness very well.

Actually, I wish you idiots would just leave me out of all this. Personally i do not know what bug crawled up your ass this time Samson to warrant playing this game, but kudos for you and i hope it brings some enjoyment to your otherwise pathetic existence, no wife, no job, no kids, no love, no nothing. Thank you for confirming yourself Robert. After having discussed this issue with my own attorney he has advised me that pursuing a case against you for filing a false report with the FBI would be a colossal waste of money, time, or both. Besides, he informs me if the FBI wishes to pursue such action they'll do so whether I prod them into it or not, but that I may yet be called as a witness or something.

So, Fury contacted the FBI over the content of this website accusing you of being subversive or some such.. and after actually reading through the site, they bothered to visit you in person for an interview on the matter??? Geez, I guess the calibur of our national investigative agency has declined. I wonder that they're not trying to pursue the rest of us regulars here too now.

Thanks, Fury, I could certainly do without personal attention from the FBI in my life. They wouldn't like my views and I have enough problems to deal with without them.

I'm not sure how much of the site they actually saw before showing up in my living room, or the exact nature of the complaint that brought them here to begin with, other than being a "threat" to Mr. Sottero. According to my lawyer, getting the information and copies of any reports that resulted from this little visit is going to require a Freedom of Information Act request before I even have a chance of knowing more than I do right now. I'm told such things in cases like this can take years to process. Though why such barriers should exist when I was a party to the entire mess is beyond me, but that's apparently how it works. No wonder nobody has bothered to sue these clowns at the federal level.

You should probably be glad you were spared the manure pile of spam attacks on MudBytes that ensued shortly after his last successful post here. He's spent the better part of the entire afternoon trying to PM flood dozens of people. Obviously we caught him in the act. But not before some of the messages did get through, and one less than bright bulb posted a quoted copy of the text for all to see. As if anyone wants to see spam like that. I'm sure he'll be back again tomorrow after he's good and rested up for another day of trolling. For someone who swears he's given up the internet, he's sure doing a hell of a job convincing us otherwise.

Yep. FoIA request. Can you believe it? It's not like I'm asking for tapes from the Roswell interviews or something. You'd think someone who was actually in the interview wouldn't have this kind of trouble. It's not financially worth pursuing at this point.

Oh, it hasn't ended with just one night, but with each attack it takes less and less time to remove the damage. A couple of SQL queries and BLAM, all gone. He's spending more time hunting down black-ops proxies and spewing spam than we are cleaning it up. And we know it's him. I won't divulge how, but we know. And Google + his ISP have both been forwarded detailed abuse reports.

That does seem overly secure, but I suppose they can't make it easy for you to show that they made a mistake they might be liable for.

He sent me an email, which he's asked me specifically not to share, claiming that he can prove that he's not the one responsible for all these things. At this point I'm entirely unwilling to take sides and I'm not sure that I really want any more info than I've already gotten. I am perfectly willing to accept that there may be more than meets the eye here and that, ultimately, it's between you and Fury (or at least the person doing all this and the site admins that have been affected by it). Either way, I am very sorry that you're having to go through this and I hope that whoever is responsible for it (be that person The_Fury or not) would be mature enough to stop it now or at least be satisfied that they've done enough harm already to let it go before it has to escalate any further.

Ultimately, this is really sad that someone would bring this sort of crap to this level over anything online and I have to say that it seems especially wrong in my eyes when it happens to/between/amongst my friends.

He can claim whatever he likes. The information we have is indisputable. It's him. Unless his evidence is overwhelming and he's willing to share it ( he knows how to get ahold of me ) then I'm not taking anything he says behind my back to 3rd parties as any sort of proof of anything. Before this whole incident with the SS and the FBI I hadn't even given the guy another thought after we banned him from MudBytes for spamming the forum the last time.

What I don't get is that he continually claims he doesn't give a flying fuck about the internet, yet we get regular outbursts directly related to him and some beef he has with someone. While the press may paint the SS and the FBI as incompetent boobs who can't research their facts properly, I can tell you they've got compelling enough evidence that if Robert wants to take things to that level they have him dead to rights. They could proceed against him at any time for filing a false incident report. I'm sure the Aussie authorities would love to help.

I want no part of the guy, my hands were washed of him before last week. I couldn't give a shit about any of it. But he's chosen to escalate and if it continues it can't simply be ignored despite my own legal counsel telling me it isn't worth pursuing over international borders.

I can't figure why he'd include me in his latest spamming. I doubt I have even replied to more than a couple of his posts. And of course I've never banned him or anything. It's sort of puzzling and sad at the same time.

Who knows. The things that go through his head make little if any sense. I just wish he'd go away and stop bothering everyone else with it.

It does seem like a shame to waste good money pursuing someone over something like this when it involves international red tape but I suppose I can understand your perspective too, Samson.

I'm saddened that Fury is taking a personal feud with Samson out on the MUDBytes Community. I witnessed the spam.

Heh, well he didn't stick to just MB. He also took his crusade over to TMC and spammed them up big time on one night. Though I certainly don't see what he did as funny. Just sad and pathetic that he'd waste his time in such a manner and destroy what little was left of his reputation doing it. I mean, hell, if you're going to spam flood someone, you'd think doing so from a static IP associated with your game wouldn't be the first choice.

Fortunately I didn't see anything over at MudBytes because I'm really not participating there anymore but I did see the posts at TMC via the daily summary email, and I'd have to agree that they seemed far more immature than funny to me.
