Mississippi Primary Results

So did anyone not see this coming? Were you hoping for a different outcome? I wouldn't count on it. Barack Obama's machine continues to roll on and gather up victory after victory. Though the delegate takes don't look like much of a difference, Hillary needs to win tons more than she has up to now if she expects to have a chance. And what of John McCain? No, we haven't forgotten about you. Another 36 token delegates fall his way today.

Democratic Results - 100% precincts reporting
Barack Obama: 61% +19 delegates
Hillary Clinton: 37% +14 delegates

Delegate Totals to Date - 2,025 needed to win
Barack Obama: 1,611
Hillary Clinton 1,480

Obama is only just under 400 delegates from locking things up. At the pace this is going, that'll take forever and a day. But that's how we like it. Let the dems tear each other up while McCain gathers his strategy and goes at it for the long haul.

Our next bloodfest takes place 41 days from now, in Pennsylvania. It's considered the do or die state for the dems. Pretty much like all the rest were, yes?

"Resistance is futile." -- The Borg
"Mother's coming for me in the dragon ships. I don't like these itchy clothes, but I have to wear them or it frightens the fish." -- Thurindil

Well. I guess that's that then.

McCain still has to complete the rest of the primaries at this point? Why? He's already got the delegate count he needs to win regardless of the rest of the state outcomes anyway, no?

As for Obama/Clinton.. yeah.. maybe Obama will get his 2025th delegate on the very last democratic primary with Hillary continuing to trail behind him by always between 100 and 200 delegates.. ;)

41 days? Can you really mean a full month holiday from politics??

For McCain the remaining primaries are nothing but a formality now. They still have to be held but it's pretty much a given the delegates are all his now with Huckabee gone.

And yes, more than a whole month without election stuff. Whatever shall we do? Why... watch Spitzer blow up his political career over prostitutes of course! That whole mess is quite interesting to watch since there's plenty of dems who think we should just leave the guy alone. Oh, the hypocrisy of it :P

*nod* That's pretty much what I was thinking.

You know, yesterday they came out with "Kristen's" pictures and even a link to her myspace. On CNET's coverage of the story a reader wrote in "Demand your money back Spitzer." *snicker* ...Personally, I don't think she looks nearly that bad, and apparently Penthouse agrees...

(Now watch Akismet decide to block this post because I included those links and images. *sigh*)
