Which Founder Are You?

Time to inject a bit less seriousness for today. Plus my brain is on autopilot due to still being sick so finding something meaty to discuss isn't happening.

Something eerie about my results. Roger Sherman. Roger being my first name, Sherman being the name of the city I was born in. Destiny perhaps?

Take the quiz: http://constitutioncenter.org/FoundersQuiz/

"It is pointless to resist, my son." -- Darth Vader
"Resistance is futile." -- The Borg
"Mother's coming for me in the dragon ships. I don't like these itchy clothes, but I have to wear them or it frightens the fish." -- Thurindil

Well. I guess that's that then.

Sarah got James Madison.

I got George Washington. I'll save children, but not the British children. Also, the sons of my opponents wish that I was their dad. Etc.

I got George Washington too. It'd be interesting to see the formula they use to work it out.

James Madison!
Virginia
Diligent, Scholarly, and Shy.
Madison earned the title, "Father of the Constitution" for his
thorough preparation and influential role at the Constitutional
Convention. He co-authored The Federalist Papers to explain
and defend the Constitution. The essays are considered a
masterpiece of political theory to this day.

(Sorry, no fancy screenshot to post like Samson did.)
I do agree that it might be interesting to see the formula they've used for this, especially since they're only using 11 questions to determine one of 55 possible Founders. (Theoretically anyway, since they're not actually showing all 55 in the answer block...)

Can you beleive it, i also got George Washington. I guess this means that Conner, Prettyfly and I are the real deal. And if this was Seseme St, we could play the One of these things is not like the other song and then all point at Samson. :) Dont worry bro, we still love you even though you are no George Washington.

Heh, well, Conner got James Madison, so whatever that's worth :P

I'm not sure there were enough useful questions to reach a conclusion though because there were some I picked an answer that made sense but still wasn't really fitting.

Yeah, Fury, hang on a second there before you get too excited about the which of these things is not like the others game, that'd include Samson and me..

I agree, Samson, and that's pretty much what I was alluding to in my last post too. They're claiming to be matching you up with one of the 55 Founders, but they only show about 16 of them on the results page and they're only asking 11 questions, some of which clearly leave some room for doubt. After all, I'm more than willing to bet that none of the original 55 Founders had a DVD collection, despite the reference to one in at least one of the questions. ;)

Of course not, but is was LOLz worthy none the less. Ands sorry it was Dwip with washington not Conner, but still, the lefties all got G.W which is kind of funny in its own right, even if it has no real value at all, but i am sure if we tries really hard we could draw some pointless conclusions about it, wonder if the other 2 like to wear wigs as well. ;)

/quote, not codebox... ;)

Was Washington a leftist for his time? Not that it'd mean much considering how drastically the issues have changed since then.
Well, Fury, I guess we could ask Dwip and prettyfly if they like to routinely prance around in powdered wigs as much as you do. :P

Btw, Samson, as far as your original coincidental stuff goes, in my case I was born in Virginia but that's about it for me.

<-- totally rocks the powdered wig.

I would've thought you had too lanky a figure to make a powdered wig look good.

My hair was probably long enough during the summer holidays that you I wouldn't need a wig if you just powdered it. Sadly, the razor inevitable comes knocking...

No pictures to prove it? ;)

I've seen plenty of pictures of Dwip now. I believe that pictures of me are pretty easy to find. (Even with my server down, one can search the web easily enough to locate pictures of me at Conner Destron's Personal Home Page, or more specifically, at Conner's Ex-Wife... and himself too.) On the other hand, I don't recall any one else here having ever shared pics of themselves with any of us so I have no idea what Samson, Fury, Hanaisse, or ...anyone else here might look like (Except Regina, since I believe Dwip may have shared a shot or two that had her in them over at his blog before.)

Tall and lanky can pull off a wig quite ok. Dwips Moron Twin Brother?

@conner; well, I've got a picture, but I'm marvelously good at keeping out of the camera. Compared to my sister, who took roughly three hundred pictures or her with her cousins. All within two days, which meant that the camera was out of memory for most of the time I was away.

@The_Fury:  Well, I suppose, now that you decided to go there, in truth quite a few of the Founders themselves cast fairly lanky shapes themselves, though a few were decidedly far from it. Not that any of them could really justly be considered fat at the time of the actual Constitutional Convention, but by the end of Washington's stint as our first president, well.. a few of them were hardly still in fighting trim and that didn't stop them from wearing their powdered wigs...

@prettyfly: I hear you. My niece told us she managed to actually fill her SD card in her phone more than once during one trip she took recently while I haven't come close to burning through a gigabyte of mine (I've got an 8GB SD card in my phone, I think her's is only a 4GB SD card. but...) with all the pictures I've taken over the last 7 years now... as for pictures of myself, I obviously don't generally take those and I'm usually the one in my immediate family holding the camera so.. ;)

That image is also especially amusing if you've ever seen my actual brothers, both of whom are perhaps twice to three times my size.

Also, if I am to do the wig thing, I'd rather be this guy, but.

Last time I filled up an SD card was in Europe, and man did I take a ton of pics then, but I've tried a few times since.

See, I didn't even know you had two brothers.

I can appreciate that, though Fury's choice was probably closer to home. :P

Tell me about it. It takes a LOT of pictures to fill a SD card, but to manage it twice on a single trip that, if memory serves, was only 4 days long.. can we say serious shutterbug? (Now, in her defense, she is an art major and most of them were taken within a series of art galleries/museums she'd visited with her friends. So she has some semblance of an excuse, but even still, it's an awful lot of pictures for a pretty short time span.)
